The Cystal Waters of Moria

Years ago, before every house could be connected to the village's Water-Reservoir
for drinking water, the only source of water was the few Spring fountains sprinkled
alover the village. The ice cold water was very clean and some were supposed to be endowed
with curative powers (e.g. Fountain of Louka)

This fountain is at the base of St. George's Bell Tower.It used to be
the water source for all the Kafenia, on the main square
and all the house around it, including my own

H VRYSI TOU MBARI, the fountain of Bari, provided water for the "Gartaganeika" neighborhood

O ANAFYTROS was mainly for the upper "maxalites", upper edge of the village
[Louka]"
TOU LOUKA is supposed to have curative attributes, north-west of the village
toward the "Mpeleika" neighborhood

TOU DEMEROUKA, north-east of the village
[Kefalovrysi]"
H KEFALOVRYSI, a couple of kilometers toward the north-east of the village
[Limnes]"
LIMNES, supplied a refreshing respite to the travelers approaching the village from the East
and quenched the thirst of the people involved in threshing during the harvest season

AGIOS DIMITRIS with ice cold water and couple of benches for the traveler
who wanted to rest a bit and have a bite to eat
